Solar post lights require direct sunlight during the day for the best charging performance. Please install the light in a location that receives full, direct sun and avoid shaded areas whenever possible. On rainy days, cloudy days, during winter, or in seasons with reduced sunlight, charging will take longer, and both brightness and lighting duration may be affected.

This post light has a built-in light sensor. If you want to test whether the light is working during the daytime, you will need to cover the solar panel completely to simulate darkness. At night, keep the light away from strong light sources, as excessive light may interfere with the sensor and affect automatic operation.

The switch button is located inside the top cover. Simply twist open the cover to access the button. Press the switch once for High Mode, and press it twice for Low Mode. Once turned on, the light will charge automatically during the day and turn on automatically at night.

For post size compatibility, the 3.5" wood post uses the 4" base together with the 3.5" adapter, and the 5" vinyl post uses the 5.5" base together with the 5" adapter. Likewise, if your post size is 4" or 5.5", please remove the 3.5" or 5" adapter before installation to ensure a proper fit.
