Installation Instructions

1. Check the Flow Direction
Before installation, locate the FLOW arrow on the valve body. Always install the valve with the arrow pointing in the direction of wastewater flow—from the sink or fixture toward the drain pipe.

2. Choose the Installation Position
The valve can be installed vertically, horizontally, or at an angle. For horizontal or angled installation, keep the ribbed side facing downward and maintain a slight downward slope toward the drain to ensure smooth drainage.

3. Prepare the Drain Pipe
Cut the pipe squarely to the required length. Remove any burrs, sharp edges, or debris that could damage the sealing gasket or affect the connection.

4. Connect the Valve
Slide the nut and sealing washer onto the pipe, fully insert the pipe into the valve connection, then tighten the nut by hand until secure. Make sure the connection is straight and properly seated. Do not cross-thread or overtighten.

Important Installation Notes

Do not install the valve backwards. Always follow the FLOW arrow.
When installed horizontally, keep the ribs facing down to prevent standing water and ensure proper valve operation.
Do not overtighten compression nuts; hand-tightening is normally sufficient for a proper seal.
Do not apply pipe dope, silicone, glue, or chemical sealant to compression-type connections.
Make sure all sealing washers and gaskets are correctly positioned before tightening.
Install the valve in an accessible location for future inspection or cleaning.
Do not push drain snakes, wires, or other mechanical cleaning tools through the valve, as they may damage the internal sealing membrane. Remove the valve before mechanically cleaning the downstream drain pipe
