How Heat Set Insert Installation Works 

 1.    Heat – Attach the insertion tool to your soldering iron and heat to 180-260°C. 

 2.    Press – Position the brass insert into a pre-drilled hole (slightly smaller than insert diameter). 

 3.    Set – Press gently for 3-8 seconds, then let cool for 30 seconds. 

 4.    Screw – The insert now provides a permanent metal thread for your screws and bolts.
